Corey McClendon Arrested For Young Dolph Shooting

As Young Dolph recovers from that L.A. shooting, more details on the incident are being released. As previously reported Dolph was shot Tuesday in front of Hollywood’s Lowes Hotel. He’s currently listed in critical but stable condition despite erroneous reports that he succumbed to his injuries.

Now people are curious about his rap rival Yo Gotti whose been beefing with the fellow Memphis emcee since 2014. Police named Gotti a “person of interest” in the shooting and to make matters worse, one of Gotti’s associates has been charged with the shooting.

According to USA Today, Corey McClendon, a friend of Gotti’s and member of his inner circle, is facing a charge of attempted murder for the shooting.

McClendon, 43 was arrested and booked early Wednesday and being held on $1 million bail.

Police are said to be looking for two other men involved in the shooting.

Back in February Dolph was the target of a shooting in Charlotte, N.C. in which over 100 rounds were fired at his bulletproof vehicle. Yo Gotti’s artist Blac Youngsta turned himself into authorities afterward but maintains his innocence.

Gotti has yet to speak on the shooting and is instead promoting his XXL cover.

Singer In Hot Water Over Not Supporting His Kids

Mario Winans won’t be able to sing his way out of this one.

The “I Don’t Wanna Know” singer has been arrested and jailed for falling behind to the tune of six figures in child support for his 12-year-old son, BOSSIP has learned.

Officers from the Bergen County Sheriffs Department raided the former Bad Boy Records artist’s home Fort Lee, NJ Wednesday morning after he amassed a massive debt of more than $171,000 in back child support, according to public records. He was arrested without incident, and his bail figure is the dollar amount of the child support owed, a spokesman for the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office told BOSSIP.

Winans is already out on $250,000 bail for his tax fraud case after he admitted not filing federal tax returns from 2008 through 2012. He could get up to five years in prison in that separate case.

And it’s not the first time the artist has run afoul of the law when it comes to supporting his son. In 2015, cops cuffed the crooner due to child support arrears after he apparently stopped paying the court-ordered $3,500 a month child support.

The 43-year-old was still in custody Thursday, and is scheduled to go before a family court judge later today.

Story developing.

Steph Curry Discredits Sports Illustrated For Unity Cover

Steph Curry didn’t tread lightly when asked about the cover of this week’s issue of Sports Illustrated, on which Steph himself was photoshopped arm-in-arm with Roger Goodell and LeBron James under the supposed theme of “unity.”

Steph Curry spoke on the cover and said he thinks it was “just terrible” and “kind of capitalizing on the hoopla and the media and all that nonsense” around the discussions of protest this weekend.

He added that there are “real people that understand exactly what’s been going on and who’s really been active and vocal and truly making a difference… and if you don’t have Kaepernick front and center on that, then something’s wrong.”

The Sports Illustrated cover was immediately met with criticism after it was revealed, prompting executive editor of the mag Steve Cannella to appear in a video in order to to explain his intentions. Kaepernick’s image appears nowhere on the cover of the issue, but Cannella claimed that “in some ways, even though his picture is not there, Colin Kaepernick is there.”

Steph Curry clearly isn’t happy about being a part of this narrative and is outwardly showing his disapproval.
